FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: (If you have others, please let us know about them by dropping us an EMAIL)
How much is return shipping?
We make every effort to charge our customers only the actual shipping costs and not a big markup. We normally USPS First Class or Priority Mail, however handguns must be shipped UPS unless you have a FFL. There is a small up-charge for using UPS or FedEx because they are located 20 miles away from the shop. Here are examples of how much to include for commonly-shipped items (U.S. lower 48 only):
Item(s) Shipping Shipping with Insurance One 10/22 Bolt $5.50 $8.70 One 10/22 Trigger Group $5.50 $8.70 Bolt and Trigger Group $7.00 $10.85 How do I remove my Ruger 10/22 trigger group or bolt?

How do I make a payment?
You can send a Money Order or cashier's check. Money Orders and checks must be drawn on a US bank and payable in US Dollars, or an additional $10 fee applies. This is what my bank charges me to process foreign money orders. This includes Canadian funds.
Should I send you the whole gun?
If in doubt, call or email for instructions. Do not send the entire gun unless instructed to do so. Normally, all we need are a few parts. Shipping the entire gun costs more in shipping and also complicates the shipping and return process.
Can I ship by US Mail?
Yes usually, but only if you are shipping parts and not the frame, receiver or an entire gun. The frame or receiver of a handgun cannot be shipped by US Mail unless you have a FFL or ship it using a FFL licensed dealer. If you are sending us your frame or receiver, or if you are shipping a complete handgun, the best method is UPS Red Label Super Saver.
What about insurance?
Insurance is recommended. I have never lost a gun or a part in shipping, but there is always a first time. We are not responsible for damage or loss due to the shipper's negligence, so insurance is the best way to protect yourself. We charge only the actual cost of return shipping insurance. If you pay it, we will insure your return shipment, if you do not pay for insurance, then your item is not covered and the risk is yours.
What about Customs and foreign shipments?
We will not knowingly take on any work that is likely to have problems clearing US Customs. We cannot accept or ship a barrel, slide, bolt, high capacity magazine, frame, receiver or firearm from outside the United States. Shipments may clear US Customs, but not clear Customs in your country. We cannot be responsible for shipments that are lost in shipment or that are seized or delayed by Customs officials. We mark all Customs Slips as "Sporting Goods" and declare their value at a reasonable dollar amount. Please, do not ask us to declare a lower value in order to avoid VAT or other taxes on your end. All orders over $100 ($500 Canada) require an import permit. Customers are responsible for all import fees, customs fees, and/or VAT. Foreign orders often require up to 72 hours additional processing time.

ZimbabweShould I ship "Signature Required" or use "Delivery Confirmation?"
It is a good idea to use a shipping method that provides some sort of tracking number when shipping. Shipments that arrive "Signature Required" may require an additional day to process. Most items that are shipped "Insured" using US Mail require a signature. There is no one here to sign for them most day, so we have to go to the Post Office to collect them. We don't mind doing this, but be aware that it slows down the process and your turn-around time may be delayed by at least one day.
