WIN THIS CUSTOM 10/22 RIFLE
ABOUT THIS RIFLE: This custom Ruger 10/22 rifle was built by 3rd Millennium Engineering and donated especially for this event. The retail value of this rifle is well over $500.00.
We started with a standard 10/22 receiver and stripped off the black coating and then buffed and polished the receiver and trigger housing to a high shine.
An Accurasized Match Bolt is surface ground so the headspace is set to match specifications. The firing pin protrusion is adjusted and the back of the bolt is radiused to assure a completely smooth operation. A horizontal pin is installed to hold the Power Custom titanium firing pin in proper alignment with the chamber, and the bolt is then polished and jeweled before being fitted with a Volksquartsen extractor.
A Level III Match Trigger Group features a Skeeter's target trigger, helical bolt lever and helical magazine release, torsion trigger return spring, adjustable trigger stop and a custom-ground Power Custom hammer and adjustable sear set. Nominal trigger pull is 2.5# with no take-up or creep in the trigger.
The action is fitted with a lightweight 18" Pig Whistle barrel that has been fluted and compensated at the muzzle.
The stock is a hardwood laminated version of the popular Raptor custom stock that has been free-floated and pillar bedded. Sling swivels are installed front and rear along with a Pachmyer recoil pad.
The optics are a Bushnell 3 X 9 40mm duplex scope mounted with 3 Weaver 4X4 rings and also has been fitted with Butler Creek flip-up caps.
ABOUT US: This event is sponsored by Shawnee Masonic Lodge #54 A. F. & A. M. of Kansas. All proceeds from this even go directly to the Scholarship Fund. Each year, Shawnee Lodge 54 awards several $500 scholarships to local high school seniors to assist them with college expenses. In past years, these scholarships have been funded by the collection and sale of aluminum cans and other donations. We typically grant three to four $500 scholarships annually, and this event is an effort to continue and expand upon those efforts. All money donated as a result of this event will be used only for this purpose.
HOW TO ENTER: The winner will be selected by a drawing on September 14, 2010. Donations are $5 for each ticket or 5 tickets for $20. Tickets can be purchased by mail or using email When payment is received, a ticket(s) will be filled out with the information you provide and entered in the drawing. No further action is required on your part. Deadline for entry is midnight on September 1, 2010.
